The weekend is sunny with highs into the 30's on the upper mountains and low 40's at the base. Winds could still gust up to 40 mph on the ridges Saturday and then stronger for Sunday afternoon back up to 50 mph which could affect some lift operations.
New Year's Eve:
New Year's Eve a cold front moves through with gusty winds to 60+ mph and a chance for snow showers. Temperatures drop back into the 20's for Monday and it will feel even colder with the wind. We could see a dusting of snow from the snow showers. Watch for possible lift closures up top on Monday from the winds.
We start to clear and warm Tuesday into the 30's. Wednesday high pressure builds in over CA with highs warming into the 40's. Expecting a dry & mild pattern to last throughFriday.
Weakening systems will try to push into CA next weekend. We could see some light rain and snow Saturday & Sunday. We will fine tune this forecast through the week.
