We had a lot of rain in the month of October and some snow. We picked up a total of 18 inches at High Camp. November has been mild and dry so far, but it looks like that will change next week.
Snow & cold temperatures next week
The first storm is expected to arrive Wednesday. We should see the winds pick up on Tuesday with the cold front and snowfall arriving during the day on Wednesday.
We are still 5 days out but right now it looks like we could see 3-6 inches of snow on the bottom half of the mountain, and 6-10 inches on the upper half. We will continue to update as we get closer.
Even more good news behind the storm as much colder air will pour into the region. High temperatures for the remainder of next week may stay in the 30's on the mountain and down into the 20's at night. That will make it cold enough for snowmaking.
As we go into Thanksgiving week there is the potential that we could see a slow moving storm to start the week that could bring more snowfall.
Looking at the long-range pattern through the end of the month it looks to remain favorable for the chance of storms to continue.
