The snow levels started higher and were much slower to fall with the storm over the last 24 hours than expected. Rain turned to snow during the evening on the upper mountain and we picked up 6-7 inches at 8000 feet. At the base we picked up an inch with a few inches of fresh snow at 7000 feet.
Much colder air has moved in behind storm. Highs will only be in th 20's through the weekend. That will allow for around the clock snowmaking.
We will warm slightly on Monday back into the 30's for next week. The next chance for snow looks to be Thursday night as a cold trough digs in from the North. We could see several inches of snow, but we will track this storm over the next week.
The pattern has changed and over the next few weeks we should stay cold and any storms should be cold storms.
The next chance for a storm after Thursday looks like it could be the day after Christmas, but that is 10 days away so plenty of tme to watch the trends.
