Tuesday - Thursday Weak Systems:
We could see some clouds and a few sprinkles Tuesday from a weak system trying to push in. Highs still in the 40's. Snow levels up around 8,000 feet.
Wednesday afternoon into Thursday we have a chance for more light showers and some high elevation snowfall as a weak system drops down the coast. Snow levels around 8000 feet. We could possibly see a coating of snow above 8,000 feet by Thursday afternoon.
The next storm moving through for Friday into Saturday should be stronger as it pulls in more moisture. We will likely see some gusty winds with this storm Friday afternoon into Saturday. Snow levels could start around 7,000 feet but could fall below to the base Saturday. The track of this storm will be important to see how much precipitation can push into the area.
We will be watching this storm all week as we get a better idea of the potential snowfall and snow levels. Right now if the current forecast holds we could see 13-19 inches of snow from this storm above 7,000 feet, and several inches to the base by Sunday morning.
Sunday a cold system is expected to drop down from the north keeping the snowfall going, but with lighter/fluffier snow falling. We could see several more inches of snow by Monday morning.
A cold pattern may set up for the week of the 4th. We could see a final cold system drop in Monday. The forecast models are split on whether the storm drops over us or to our east.
Then we could see a break the middle of next with below average temperatures. Another cold system is possible by the end of the week.
