[Olympic Valley, Calif.] May 16, 2016 – Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows announces May Madness, an event-filled finale to the longest ski season in a decade. Operating later than any other resort in the region, Squaw Valley will remain open through Memorial Day Weekend, conditions and weather permitting. Throughout May, the Spring Skiing Capital will host a variety of events including spring lift ticket deals, themed-parties at High Camp, a social media contest for a chance to win a GoPro and Oakley goggles, the 4th Annual Made in Tahoe Festival, and more. 

$19 Lift Ticket Deals through Memorial Day Weekend 
Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is offering the longest ski season in the Tahoe region, with skiing and riding through Memorial Day on May 30, 2016. With over 40 feet of cumulative snowfall this season, the resort is offering free skiing and riding for 2016-17 Tahoe Super Passholders. As an added May Madness bonus, friends of 2015-16 or 2016-17 season passholders can purchase a lift ticket for just $19. Have a pass at a resort that has closed already? Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is welcoming passholders from any other resort to join the fun with the $19 lift ticket deal. Operations will continue seven days a week at Squaw Valley through Monday, May 30, conditions permitting. Squaw Valley chairlifts will operate from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. daily, with the High Camp Hot Tub open daily 11am - 4pm, and the Aerial Tram operating 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily with access to High Camp. 
 
May Madness High Camp Hot Tub Parties – every Saturday and all of Memorial Day Weekend 
Located at 8,200 feet and surrounded by the beauty of the Sierra and Lake Tahoe, the High Camp Hot Tub is one of the most breathtaking places in the world to kick off your boots after a day of spring skiing or riding and unwind on the top of the mountain. Each May weekend, dress up in theme and hit the slopes, then head to High Camp Hot Tub for music from local DJs. The weekend of May 14 & 15 is retro theme, May 21 & 22 is Beach Party, and May 29-30 is America Weekend in celebration of Memorial Day. High Camp will host a DJ every Saturday from 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. as well on Sunday, May 29 and Monday May 30 for Memorial Day. Click here for the full schedule and upcoming DJs.  

Spring Skiing Capital Social Media Contest – weekly through Sunday, May 22
May Madness celebrations continue with the #SpringSkiingCapital social media contest for a chance to win a brand new GoPro and Oakley goggles! Tag your favorite #SpringSkiingCapital photos and videos on Instagram or Twitter for a chance to win. Photos must be original and taken at the resort to qualify. 4th Annual Made In Tahoe Festival – Memorial Day Weekend 
The 4th Annual Made In Tahoe Festival returns to the Village at Squaw Valley for Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 28-Sunday, May 29. This one-of-a-kind event celebrates all things local and hosts a wide array of offerings that are made in or inspired by the Lake Tahoe Basin and Truckee areas. Local artisans, businesses, culinarians, organizations and entertainers will come together to celebrate all things Made in Tahoe including music, food, clothing, and more. As part of the Made In Tahoe Festival, the Tahoe Food Hub and MTN ROOTS will host a five-course family-style Community Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. to benefit the Squaw Valley Institute.
