The weather will remain quiet over the next 4 days with some clouds from storms moving through to our North.
By the end of the week changes are coming as a strong storm pushes into the Pacific Northwest and Northern CA. The storm will have a hard time pushing South into the Tahoe Basin due to the strong high pressure currently in place. It looks like the storm will be strong enough however, to push at least some precip into the area Friday and Saturday.
Right now snow levels look to be high with the initial push of moisture on Friday. Some of the forecast models push enough colder air in on Saturday to drop snow levels to around 8,000 ft. We will have to watch the trend over the next several days to see how far South the storm will push and how much cold air will be able to push in.
A second storm may push in on the heels of the first next Sunday into Monday. This storm may be able to push the heavier precip further South into the area, and may also be a little colder with lower snow levels. This storm is still a week away so we will be tracking this one as well.
