Another High Elevation Snowfall Monday-Tuesday

Category: Weather

Sunny today with highs in the 40's.

The Storm

Monday into Tuesday the next storm moves in dropping  highs in the 30's on the mountain.  Mountain top gusts of 50-60 mph.

The rain and snow moves in Monday morning with snow levels around 9,000 feet, falling to 8,000 feet by Monday evening and overnight.  Tuesday morning snow levels may drop to 6500-7,000 feet before the storm moves out Tuesday afternoon.

The latest forecast model runs have shifted the storm a bit more South of us, so the forecast has come down a few inches.  The mountain could see 1-6 inches above 7,000 feet, 6-11 inches above 8,000 feet, and maybe just over a foot on the highest peaks

Post Storm

Wednesday through Friday the storm track shifts to the North but we could see some clouds and breezy conditions.

High temperatures warm back into the 40's on the mountains by Friday, and 50's at the base.

MLK Weekend

Next weekend high pressure strengthens over the area with high temperatures into the 50's.

The week of the 15th we could see a strong Pacific jet stream take aim at the West Coast with a series of storms and wetter weather.
