9-11 Inches Fell Yesterday, More Snow in the Forecast

Category: Weather

We saw another 9-11 inches fall from yesterday's storm up top on Squaw and Alpine.  That brings the season total to 65 inches.  There is cold air in place today behind the cold front with highs only in the 20's up top and 30's at the base.

We will see the sun return today and into Saturday with highs warming back into the 40's on Saturday.  Sunday a weak system moves through bringing clouds and maybe some light snow.  We could see an inch or two up top.  Winds remain gusty through the weekend with mountain top gusts up to 30 mph today, 45 mph Saturday, and 60 mph Sunday.

We see a break to start next week with some sun and highs in the 40's.  Then by Thursday another cold front will push through bringing us more snow, maybe amounts similar to yesterday.  The active pattern may continue into next weekend with another cold storm possible Saturday and more into the following week.
