We have picked up 8 inches of snowfall so far since Friday night. We are expecting more snow today and a bigger storm for midweek.
The snow has tapered off this morning but will increase again this afternoon as another wave of precipitation moves into Northern CA. The snow should fall from this afternoon into this evening. We could pick up an additional 3-6 inches on the mountain by Monday morning, bringing the weekend total to 11-14 inches.
We will have a break in the action on Monday before a stronger storm moves in Tuesday and lasts through Wednesday. This storm is more exciting as it has the potential to drop 2-3 feet of snow on the mountain. By Thursday morning we could have a 5 day total of 3-4 feet on the upper half of the mountain!
Some clouds and light snow showers may linger through Friday before sunny skies return next weekend.
Looking at the 2nd week of December the long-range forecast models show a chance of snow on the 9th and the 11th. That is pretty far off but a good sign that we may see more snow heading into December.
