Snowfall Report

The last part of this storm the past 24 hours slammed the area NW of the lake where we sit.  We were expected up to 20 inches in the past 24 hours and picked up double that with 42 inches! That brings the storm total to 92 inches at Squaw and 99 inches at Alpine. Officially bigger than the last storm, and the biggest storm of the season.

With back-to-back big storms the last 2 weeks we are now at 177 inches at Squaw and 188 inches at Alpine! That brings the season totals to 338 inches, which is 75% of the seasonal average and we are about 75% of the way through the ski season! That's incredible as the 3rd week of February we were on track for the lowest snowfall on record, and now today we are back near average for the season!

The Snow Continues

Scattered snow showers continue today and could drop a few final inches on the mountain. Highs only in the 20's with upper mountain wind gusts to 30 mph.

A Break

Then a break Sunday and Monday with some sun. Highs in the 30's on the mountain Sunday into Monday and 40's at the base by Monday.

The Next Storm

Tuesday the clouds increase as the  next storm starts to  move in. We could see rain and snow start to fall Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Snow levels sitting around 7500' through Wednesday.

Wednesday night into Thursday colder air moves in dropping snow levels below the base by Thursday with the snowfall continuing. The snow could last into Friday before ending. We could see another 1-3 feet from this storm.

Next weekend we may clear out or have a couple more weak systems dive in with lighter snows. Going into the week of the 26th we should be into a drier pattern.
