Snowfall Report:

Squaw picked up an additional 35 inches of snow in the past 24 hours on the upper mountain, and 28 inches at the base.  That brings the 4-day storm total to 5 feet at the base, and 6.5 feet on the upper mountain!  Squaw now has 334 inches for the season, 143% of average for the date!

Tuesday - Thursday:

The final system is finishing up moving through CA Tuesday.  We could see scattered snow showers through the day.  Winds are much lighter and temperatures are only in the teens for highs.  A final 2-5 inches are possible from the snow showers.

Wednesday and Thursday we should see sunny skies and lighter winds, with highs only in the 20's. Overnight lows down into the single digits.

Weekend Storms:

For the weekend we are watching 2 cold systems dropping down the West Coast. Depending on the track each system could bring several inches of snow or more.

The latest forecast model runs show a weaker system moving through Friday night into Saturday, and a strong system possible for Saturday night through Sunday night.  Both look very cold like this last storm.

The preliminary forecast is for 5-10 inches from the first storm, and 1-2 feet from the 2nd.  We will be tracking these storms closely all week to see how much snow they might bring.

The active pattern could continue through mid-month.
