No changes to the forecast this morning. We have very strong winds today ahead of a strong cold front that will bring in very cold air and some snow.
This afternoon into Monday a strong cold front moves through. High temperatures in the 30's today, dropping to highs only in the teens on the mountains for Monday, but the winds will make it feel much colder!
We will see snow showers develop this afternoon into Monday along and behind the cold front. The forecast is for 4-8 inches by Monday night on the entire mountain. Some model runs put a bullseye over the mountain, so there is an outside chance we could come in slightly over the high end if a heavier snow band sets up over the mountain.
The Rest of the Week
Tuesday it is still cold with highs in the 20's. Then 20's on the upper mountains and 30's at the base Wednesday into next weekend.
A weak system could bring a dusting of snow Wednesday. Another slightly wetter system could bring 3-6 inches on Thursday. Then another weak system could bring a dusting for Saturday.
We are watching a potentially stronger storm for Monday the 26th.
Going into the week of the 26th and the first week of the March the pattern looks to remain cold and active. We may start to see the storms pull in more moisture as we go into March.
