The upper mountain picked up another inch last night bringing the totals for the week at High Camp to 38 inches, and 56 inches for the season.
Today we will see more showers that will move away this afternoon. Snow levels are hovering around 8000 ft. with rain below and snow above that.
Sunday through Wednesday we are expecting mainly dry conditions with mild temperatures. There is a slight chance of showers on Monday with snow levels staying around 8000 ft.
Things get more interesting by Thursday as a strong storm approaches from the Pacific. Two waves accompanied by a strong jet stream look like they will push heavy precipitation into the Tahoe basin Thursday and Friday. Snow levels initially start around 9000 ft. on Thursday before falling below the base level by Friday morning. This storm has the potential to bring several feet of snow to the mountain. It is still 5-6 days out so the details could change so stay tuned.
Beyond that we could see a smaller storm around the 15th.
