We picked up another 11-15 inches on Saturday bringing the storm total on Squaw and Alpine to 28-32 inches up top. The best part of this storm is that we picked up close to 2 feet all the way to the base.
Skies are clearing today but the winds are picking up out of the Northeast with gusts to 25 mph as the storm moves away. It is cold with high's in the 20's on the mountain the next few days so dress warm.
On Monday a weak system will slide down to our West. We could see some clouds and a few light snow showers bringing a dusting to the mountain.
The cold air lasts into Tuesday with the winds picking up again Tuesday with the departing system. By Wednesday high pressure builds in with warming temps into next weekend. Highs will rebound into the 40's on the mountain and 50's in the village by next weekend.
The week of the 9th we could see more storms as a trough drops down from Alaska into the Eastern Pacific, and tries to push into the West Coast. The forecast models are split on how fast the trough can push storms into the West Coast, and how far South the storms push when they do move inland. So we will be watching.
