The snow showers that moved through yesterday afternoon and evening dropped another 12 inches of snow! We were only expecting up to 7 more inches.
That brings the storm total to 24 inches up top and 19 at the base! About 5 inches more than forecast.
The snow guns have been firing as well with the cold air. That along with the new snow will allow for lots of expanding terrain for the weekend!
Sunny and cold today with highs in the 20's on the upper mountain and 30's at the base.
A sunny weekend with temperatures warm to 30's on the upper mountain to 40's at the base on Saturday, and then 40's on the mountain to 50's at the base for Sunday.
Sunny weather and Sunday's temperatures should continue through all of next week and into the following weekend.
The next chance for a storm is more than 10 days out, maybe around February 7th, but it could be longer.
High pressure is building off the West Coast and could block storms for the next couple weeks. We are hoping that maybe storms break under the ridge into CA by the 2nd week of February.
