We picked up 6-11 inches on the upper mountain and 4-5 inches at the base in the past 24 hours. That brings the 2 day storm total to 12-18 inches on the upper mountain, and it continues to snow today.
The heavier snowfall is winding down this morning with snow showers through midday. But the center of low pressure will spin through the area this afternoon bringing another round of heavier snowfall. Then the storm winds down this evening with just lingering snow showers. We could see an additional 9-12 inches on the mountain, and 6-9 inches at the base by Friday morning.
We are expecting a break during the day on Friday but cold with highs in the 30's.
A final storm will drop down from the north on Saturday. Snow should return later Friday night into Saturday before tapering off Saturday evening. This storm looks cold and could bring 6-10 inches of cold powdery snow to the mountain by Sunday morning. Winds could be an issue up top with gusts to 50 mph.
Sunday into Monday the sun should return. But it will be cold with highs only in the 20's on the mountain and 30's at the base.
It looks like we could possibly see some snow Tuesday-Wednesday next week. A storm near the CA coast could brush us with light snowfall both days.
The weather pattern looks to remain active through the 2nd week of December.
