17 Inch Storm Total, We're Not Done Yet

Category: Weather

Squaw picked up another 14 inches in the past 24 hours bringing the 2 day total to 17 inches up top, and 8 inches at the base.

It will be a partly sunny and cold day today with highs only in the 20's on the mountain with a breeze.

High pressure builds in off the coast this week bringing sunny weather into the weekend.  High temperatures will warm into the 40's on the mountain into the weekend, and 50's at the base.   That will make for nice Spring skiing.

By Sunday night a cold trough may begin to push down from the North.  That trough and associated low may sit over the area the first half of next week bringing much colder weather and periods of snow showers.

We are still watching the possibility of more storms breaking into CA the week of the 4th.

So we aren't done yet with the snowfall.  The goal is to stay open into May, and each storm helps with that.
