We picked up a total of 14 inches up top at Squaw and 15 inches at Alpine over the past 2 days.
Sunny skies for Monday and Tuesday won't last long. The air will be cold enough Monday night behind the storm to get the snow guns craking again.
The next storm moves in Tuesday night and should drop another 3-6 inches of snow on the mountain. This is a fast moving storm with most of the snow falling between 10 pm Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. That will bring fresh snow for opening day!
Travel should greatly improve later Wednesday as the storm clears out. We have nice weather for Thanksgiving Day and the temperatures will remain cold.
The next cold storm should move in by Friday evening. This is another fast moving storm that could drop 5-10 inches of snow on the mountains Friday night.
More Next Weekend?
The forecast models start to diverge next weekend. We should have a break Saturday into Sunday before another storm is possibly by Sunday night. Some forecast models show just a dusting of snow while others show similar amounts as the Friday night storm.
The pattern for the week of the 28th is also inconsistent on the forecast models. Cold air looks like it should stick around but the track and strength of the storms is in question. We will continue to track and to update on the storms coming this week.
