We picked up another 4 inches of snow on the mountain Wednesday from the snow showers behind the storm that dropped 6 inches Tuesday night. That brought the storm total to 10 inches.
The weather will be nice today and Friday with sun and highs in the 30's on the mountains.
The next storm moves in Saturday. First we will see the winds increase Saturday and then the snow will arrive by evening. The snow should last into Sunday morning before tapering off by Sunday afternoon. High temps over the weekend will only be in the 20's.
We could see a storm total with this storm of 5-10 inches on the lower half of the mountain and 10-15 inches on the upper half by Sunday afternoon.
High pressure builds in again on Monday with nice weather Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 30's on the mountains. There is another cold trough that could dig into the area next Wednesday bringing more cold air. It looks like a dry front with not much in the way of snowfall.
Looking at the long-range we may have a break from the significant snowfall but still shots of cold air with good conditions for continued snowmaking. The snow will return in December and we will keep updating as it does.
