Errol Kerr

SkiCross Skier

Hometown: Truckee

Ski Inspiration: I started skiing because my mother and grandparents were skiers. They all skied, and it was natural that I would learn to ski.

Favorite Zone: Silverado. Why? Because there’s enough terrain there that it could be a resort on its own. Silverado has a big mountain feel to it. There’s a lot of amazing terrain there, and drop ins are quite challenging.

Favorite Run: KT-22 Nose to Fingers because it you are lucky enough to catch one of the first chairs on a powder day, there’s no feeling like charging a hard line in the Fingers with people cheering.

Earliest Squaw Alpine Memory: Coming from a small resort, showing up at Squaw Valley at the age it 10, I remember all the energy and the amazing talent of the skiers.

Best Squaw Alpine Memory: 2007 Honda Ski Tour

Go-to Après Spot: Le Chamois

Favorite Squaw Alpine Event: Women’s Alpine World Cup 2017

Greatest Achievement: 9th Place, Vancouver Winter Olympics

Best Ski Accessory: Helmet, goggles, gloves and iPhone

Errol grew up in Lake Tahoe, California, competing for the US in the Alpine racing events.  He dreamed of representing the homeland of his father, Jamaica.  In 2008 Errol made the switch from Alpine to Skier X and realized he was a natural at this event because of his strong background in Alpine, BMX and Motocross racing.  He went on to place 9th at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in ski cross, representing Jamaica.
