Intro to Backcountry, AIARE 1, & AIARE 2 Avalance Courses

AIARE 1 is a comprehensive, entry-level avalanche course designed for those with basic ski/snowboard touring experience. There are no other prerequisites, although, if you have never backcountry skied before, you may find it helpful to join an Intro to Backcountry day first. This is a great course to take before heading out into the backcountry. Upon completion of AIARE 1, you can take AIARE 2 to advance decision-making skills in more complex terrain and situations.
