[Olympic Valley, Calif.] June 18, 2018  – Summer in the The Village at Squaw Valley wouldn’t be complete without its annual family-friendly outdoor events – Yoga Squaw’d, Free Outdoor Movie Series, and Bluesdays – all of which return in the coming weeks. The three longtime favorite events are all complimentary and are a perfect way to spend warm summer days or cool summer nights amidst the beautiful High Sierra Nevada Mountain backdrop. Events occur on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings respectively in The Village at Squaw Valley.
 
Yoga Squaw’d—Wednesdays this summer from July 11 – August 29
Ideal for beginners and seasoned yogis alike, Yoga Squaw’d returns to the Village celebrating the art of yoga against a magnificent mountain backdrop. Particpants breathe and stretch under the sun outside Wanderlust Yoga studio. These complimentary classes take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday and are taught by inspiring local yoga instructors each week. All levels are welcome to participate and a limited number of prAna yoga mats are available for use free of charge for those without their own mat. Free Outdoor Summer Movie Series—Thursdays this summer from July 5 through August 30
Snuggle up under the stars with family and friends in The Village at Squaw Valley while enjoying new releases and favorite family classics on the big screen in the Events Plaza. The free outdoor movie takes place each summer Thursday at 8:30 p.m., weather permitting. Blankets and warm clothes are recommended as Lake Tahoe area can be chilly once the sun goes down. Bluesdays in the Village Hits 10-year Milestone, plus lodging deals
The tenth summer of Bluesdays in the Village at Squaw Valley returns this June with its best line-up yet featuring talented blues and jazz musicians. The free, family-friendly concerts have become a summertime staple in Squaw Valley and will take place every Tuesday from June 12 through September 4 in the Events Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Participating musicians include a returning list of legends including The Blues Monsters and Mark Hummel’s Golden State/Lone Star Revue, and new additions including Ron Artis II and The Cedric Burnside Project. High Camp at Squaw Valley will also feature Music by the Pool, live blues music on the Granite Bistro deck Tuesdays 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting June 26. Discounted Aerial Tram Sightseeing & Adventure packages will be available on Tuesdays with $10 off adult and $5 off youth tickets.
 
Each Bluesdays Tuesday this summer, guests can book overnight lodging in the heart of Bluesdays action in The Village for $99 for a one bedroom suite, $199 for a two bedroom suite, and $299 for a three bedroom suite with stage views, pending availability. New Aerial Tram Hours and High Camp Activities
Beginning June 15, the Aerial Tram at Squaw Valley will expand operating hours, open daily from 10am to 5pm. The Aerial Tram will be open daily from June 15-September 3 as well as Saturdays and Sundays September 8-9, September 15-16 and September 22-23, and Friday through Sunday September 28-30. Enjoy an aerial climb over 2,000 feet from the base of Squaw Valley to High Camp, located at 8,200 feet, with 360 degree views of Lake Tahoe’s high alpine beauty. Daily activities at High Camp including roller skating, hiking trails, the Olympic Museum, disc golf, lawn games, and more. All High Camp activities will be open daily June 15 – September 3.
