Biggest Storm of the Season

Miracle March is real! From Tuesday evening into Saturday, Mother Nature dropped 105" (over 8 FEET) of snow on the mountains. This was the biggest storm of the season so far, and brings our March total to over 15 feet. This made for some incredible skiing and riding as the clouds cleared and 100% of Alpine Meadows terrain opened today. Here are some highlights:

The hike out to Estelle Bowl was well worth it

Powder and views under Alpine Bowl Chair towards the Palisades

The top of High Traverse right before it opened at 10:30am today

Fresh tracks from High Traverse into the Pacific Crest South Bowls

The backside was magical

When the sun started to warm up on Sherwood Face and South Face, the snow on High Yellow, Our Father and Art's Knob stayed cold and light. Conditions were awesome

The Promised Lands and Gentian Gully opened this morning, and the snow was incredible all throughout the day

Amazing tree skiing this afternoon

Overall, conditions were incredible today. Tomorrow will be another sunny, pleasant day before the next March storm rolls in later this week. Get out there and enjoy it!
